Arline M. Palladino


Marblehead — Arline M. (Bonugli) Palladino, formerly of Marblehead, died Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Atria Merrimack Place in Newburyport at the age of 95. She was born March 17, 1917, in East Boston, to the late Dominic and Jessie Bonugli. She was raised in Orient Heights.

She worked for the government in Washington, D.C., during the war. She married Aldo F. Palladino on June 20, 1943, and they were married for 53 years until his passing in 1996. She and Aldo raised their family in Marblehead. They were members of the Corinthian Yacht Club and enjoyed traveling together. Arline’s many hobbies included dancing, fashion, music, reading and cooking.

Arline leaves behind three sons, John R. Palladino and his wife, Cynthia of Newburyport, Robert J. Palladino of Hamilton, and David Palladino and his wife, Barbara of Peabody; granddaughters, Amy Heffernan of Acton, and Sara Dranetz of Newburyport; and one great-granddaughter, Molly Heffernan. She also leaves behind a sister, Jean MacDonald of Burlington. Arline will be forever missed.

ARRANGEMENTS: An intimate service will be held to honor Arline on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
