Danvers — Mrs. Bonnie Allen (Gould) Hyde, 69, of Danvers, beloved mother of Wayne Hyde, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Warren A. and Arlene M. (Tibbetts) Gould, she was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.
Mrs. Hyde had been employed for many years as a clerk in the Accounting Office of Verizon Telephone Company.
A 47-year resident of the Town of Danvers, Mrs. Hyde was a former member of the South Congregational Church of Peabody, a life-time member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a dedicated member and devoted fan of Red Sox Nation.
Bonnie was a devoted mother and grandmother who relished in the accomplishments of her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She especially enjoyed the Christmas season and the time spent with her family and friends during the holidays and throughout the year. A truly giving person, Bonnie looked forward to Christmas shopping for and with her grandchildren and friends. She was a good neighbor and friend who could be counted on at all times and will be deeply missed by all.
Bonnie is survived by her beloved son, Wayne Hyde and his wife, Marcia of Saco, Maine, her six grandchildren, Natalie, Peter, Mary, Nathan, Christopher and Matthew Hyde; her sister, Brenda Sumrall of Beverly, her former husband, Arthur Hyde of Florida and four nieces and one nephew. She was also sister of the late Barbara Sheldon and the late Bette Anne Smith.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62) Danvers, Saturday, January 19th, at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited.
