Evelyn I. (Atkinson) Toleos, 80


BEVERLY — Mrs. Evelyn I. (Atkinson) Toleos, 80, of Beverly, beloved wife of the late Leo James Toleos, died Thursday afternoon at the Seacoast Nursing Home in Gloucester.

Born in Ipswich, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Russell and Gladys I. (Fuller) Atkinson. She was raised and educated in Ipswich and was a graduate of Ipswich High School. She continued her education at Salem Commercial School graduating in 1952. Mrs. Toleos had been employed locally in the banking industry in Ipswich. Yet her main focus was raising and supporting her family by creating a wonderful home for them to be raised and live in.

A longtime resident of the city of Beverly, Evelyn truly enjoyed her time spent as a member of the North Shore Presbyterian Church and her participation in the community bible study for over twenty years. She was dedicated to her family and daughters and will be deeply missed.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Donna Irene Toleos of Beverly and Joyce Carol Gouveia of South Daytona, Fla.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Linebrook Church, 391 Linebrook Road, Ipswich, Sunday, January 27, at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours in the church, prior to the funeral service from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will be held on Monday, January 28, in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield at 1 p.m. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers.
