SALEM — Wilfred J. Pelletier, 89, of Salem, died Saturday evening at Pilgrim Nursing in Peabody.
Born in Salem, the son of the late Wilfred and Marie (Damour) Pelletier, Wilfred was educated in Salem schools and worked as a handyman for numerous businesses in Salem. Wil was an active member of the Salem Council on Aging and also worked at the Council as a part-time custodian for years. He enjoyed visiting his many friends during his daily walks through downtown Salem.
Wilfred is survived by many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Wil is predeceased by his brothers, Roger and Adrian Pelletier and his four sisters, Bernadette Prima, Lucille Themes, Rita Desmond and Edith Ames.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. (1A/114) Salem, Thursday from 4-7 pm. A funeral Mass will be held Friday at 9 am in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
