Palm Harbor, Fla. — Girard “Pete” Gagne, 80, of Palm Harbor, Fla., and formerly of Peabody, entered eternal rest on February 6 surrounded by those he loved. He was born in Salem, the son of Emile and Mildred Gagne, and devoted husband of 60 years to Patricia (Skoniecki) Gagne.
He graduated from St. Mary’s High School and Merrimac College and proudly served our country for eight years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a dedicated parish member of St. Johns Church in Peabody and Espiritu Santo, Fla.
He is deeply missed by his loving wife, Patricia Gagne, (of Palm Harbor, FL, formerly of Peabody) and his devoted sons, Kim Gagne of York, Maine, and James Gagne and daughter-in-law, Jane, of Georgetown.
He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Ronald Gagne and his wife, Lucille of Methuen, and his sisters, Claire Nawrocki and husband, Stanley of Peabody, Irene Richards and Patricia Goodrich of Florida. He is predeceased by his brother, Robert R. Gagne and sister, Theresa LaJoie. Pete had four grandchildren, Nicole Gagne, of Georgetown, Sandra Gagne, of New Hampshire, Michael Gagne and his wife, Jessica of Maine, and Keith Lucia of Pennsylvania. He leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Cynthia Woods of Peabody, and Susan Sampson and husband, George, of Stow, Ohio; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
