North Port, Fla. — Roy V. Cook, 70, of North Port, Fla., formerly of Kingston, N.H., passed away February 13. He was born December 23, 1942, in Lynn, to Roy R. Cook and Viola P. (Cook) Saulenas.
Roy served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a retiree of United Airlines. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, Roy loved to travel and always looked forward to annual vacations with his family. Roy filled his spare time working on projects around his home and yard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his devoted son, Bryan Cook and daughter-in-law, Michelle; grandchildren, Colby and Kasey; sisters, Violet Cook, Glenda Cook, Cynthia Saulenas and her partner, Leo Plante; brothers, Russell Cook and his wife, Heidi and Larry Saulenas; Donna Couture and her husband, Gary; Lee Laurie and her husband, Robert; nieces and nephews Robyn Couture, Ryan Couture, Erik Carratu, Jamison Cook and Christian Cook. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Doris McLean and brother-in-law Michael McLean. He is preceded in death by his mother, Viola P. Saulenas and his father, Roy R. Cook and stepmother, Dorothy M. Cook.
ARRANGEMENTS: Interment will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fla., at a later date. A memorial Mass will be also held at a later date at St. Agnes Church in Middleton, where Linda and Roy married nearly 45 years ago. For online condolences, please visit www.mckeenorthport.com.
