George E. Michaud Jr., 73

Salem, MA — A lifelong resident of Salem, Mass., George was president of an automotive engine rebuilding company for 40 years, an avid boater, and was probably best known for his love of running, including the Boston Marathon, Marine Corp Marathon, Mt. Washington Road Race, and many triathlons.

He will be deeply missed by his three children, Cherie and her husband, Bob Wilson of Epping, N.H., Julie-Susan Michaud and her fiance, Michael Harrison of Easton, and Craig Michaud and his wife, Yvonne of Danvers; his sister, Lynda Michaud-Cutrell and her husband, Skip of Marblehead; and his brother, Douglas Michaud and his wife, Elaine of Haverhill, Mass. George is also survived by six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Max, Breannah, Nathaniel, Cody, and Clay; and one great-grandson, Reese.

George enjoyed spending time with his brother-in-law Stan Poirier and his two special friends Tony and Jane. He was especially proud of the 42 years he spent married to his wife Patricia, the best looking girl in the Salem High School Class of 1958.

George was predeceased by his parents, George E. and Priscilla (LeBrun) Michaud, and a sister, Patty (Michaud) Poirier.
