Dracut, MA — Eleanor (Mscisz) Walor, 83, passed away April 30 at Holy Family Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Frederick M. “Pat” Walor with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage on April 13.
Eleanor was born in Peabody on February 25, 1930, a daughter of the late Anna (Babiarz) and John Mscisz.
She received her education in the Danvers school system.
She began her working life at the Walor Family Dairy Farm in Dracut and later at her mother’s family business Mscisz Drive-In in Danvers. She owned and operated her own electronics business for many years and ultimately retired from Hewlett Packard in 1995.
Eleanor loved to bake and prepare many delicious Polish dishes. She enjoyed polka dancing, playing bingo, cards, solving sudoku puzzles, and mostly spending time with her family. She was a faithful communicant of St. Francis Church and a member of the Polish American Veteran’s Ladies Auxiliary. Above all she was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Joseph Walor and his wife, Barbara, of Fredericksburg, Va., Patricia Diodati and her husband, Michael, of Lawrence, Sandra Walor and Edward Leczynski, Jr. of Lowell, and Mary Kazalski and her husband, Joseph, of Dracut; her siblings, Louis, Paul, Alfred, Chester and Stanley Mscisz and Jeanette Lebel; seven grandchildren, David, Lisa, Joel and Sarah Walor, Michael and Sandra Diodati, and Fred Kazalski and Kasia (Leczynski) Hatfield; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her very dear friends, Irene Cieslik and Martha Kukulski.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, May 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home on Friday, May 3, at 7:45 a.m. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Francis Church, Dracut.
