Janice E. (Wright) Cochran, 76


Danvers — Janice E. (Wright) Cochran, 76, died Tuesday morning, May 7, 2013, in the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife of James E. Cochran, Sr., with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.

Born in Marblehead on June 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Anna (Condon) Wright. She was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1954.

Janice was a dedicated homemaker who was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

A longtime Danvers resident and communicant of Saint Richard Church, she also resided in Peabody for many years. Janice enjoyed spending time with her friends in “the Club.”

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and their spouses, Teresa A. and Matthew Desmond of Danvers, James E. and Cynthia Cochran Jr. of Danvers, Michael R. Cochran and Patricia Burke of Ipswich, Richard P. and Katie Cochran of Groveland, and Kathleen J. Cochran of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Beth, Matt, and Joe Desmond, Shannon Cochran, Kalyn, Derek, and Nicholas Cochran, and Colleen Wentworth; her siblings, John Wright of Beverly, Scott Wright of Merrimac, Marlene Lear of Danvers, and Cheryl DiChirico of Berwick, Maine; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her godchild, Ellie Maloney. She was predeceased by her brother, Albert Sellenger, and her stepmother, Marion Wright.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
