Florence E. "Flo" Lagasse


Groveland — Florence E. “Flo” Lagasse, 78, of Groveland, Mass., and formerly of Beverly, Mass., and Auburn, Maine, passed away Sunday at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on July 13, 1934, daughter of the late Wilfred and Rose Eva (Jutras) Lagasse. Flo was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Auburn, Maine, the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, N.H., was a nursing instructor at Beverly Hospital from 1964 to 1990, and in 1991 was the discharge planner at J.B. Thomas Hospital in Peabody, Mass.

Flo was predeceased by her seven siblings. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, including Jo-Anne P. Bolduc of Biddeford, Maine, Diane F. Bernard of Auburn, Maine, Richard Hamel of Boston, and Robert Wailus of Lewiston, Maine. Flo was also the dear friend of the late Jane Bartlett who died Oct. 22, 2012.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 11, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 114 Lincoln Ave., Haverhill, MA. Internment will be private. At her request, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.
