Marblehead, MA — Dr. David E. Winograd, age 79, of Marblehead, died at home following a brief illness on Wednesday. Born in Nashua, N.H., he was the son of the late Abbott and Dorothy Winograd. He graduated from Lynn English High School, Dartmouth College, the University of Michigan Dental School, and the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Dentistry. Dr. Winograd practiced Orthodontics on the North Shore for 35 years. He was a member of the American Assoc. of Orthodontists, Kernwood Country Club, Salem and Temple Emanu-El, Marblehead. Beloved husband of Anne B. Winograd. Devoted father of Jennifer and her husband, John Perigaut, of Andover, Dr. Jonathan and his wife, Beth Winograd, of Weston. Loving brother of Joel and his wife, Ferne Winograd, of Houston, Texas. Cherished grandfather of Madeline and Grace Perigaut, Joshua and Adam Winograd.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services at Temple Emanu-El, 393 Atlantic Road, Marblehead on Friday, July 19, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Temple Emanu-El Memorial Park, Buxton Road, Danvers. The Meal of Consolation following the interment at the Kernwood Country Club, Kernwood Road, Salem and at his late residence, Saturday, 8 to 10 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m., and at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Jonathan Winograd, Sunday 6:30 to 9 p.m. with a Shiva Minyan service at 7:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Gillette Cancer Center at Mass.
