Salem — Albert H. Ralph, 97, a former resident of Salem, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham, following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Marion (Deschene) Ralph, with whom he had shared 67 years of marriage.
Born in Fall River and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Albert H. and Grace (Lyne) Ralph. As a young man, Al first worked for the A & P food chain in Lynn. For most of his career he worked as a lathe operator for General Electric in the Air Craft Turbine Engine Division. He was a member of Local 201 I.U.E.
He is survived by a son, Alan S. Ralph and his wife, Mary, of Tuxedo, N.Y.; a daughter, Donna A. Millette of Bedford; a sister, Jean Gentile of Lynn; and his loving granddaughter, Melissa Lynch and her husband, Tom, of Pepperell. He also leaves 3 great-grandchildren, TJ, Sean and Matthew; as well as his devoted caretaker, Lisa Pinheiro.
