Beverly — Doris R. (Parker) DePiero passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Saturday, she was 81. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Regina (LeBlanc) Parker. A graduate of Saugus High School, Doris supported her husband, Vergilio “Verg” DePiero, as the owner and operator of DePiero's Exxon on Rantoul Street, Beverly, for 40 years. A devoted wife and mother, Doris will be remembered as a great listener, always willing to help and never cast judgment. She enjoyed the birds and flowers in her garden, but nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her family and grandchildren at home or at the family camp on Lake Winnipesaukee. In addition to her husband Verg; Doris is survived by her children: David DePiero and his wife Yvette of Bow, NH, Sharon DePiero-Sample of Danvers, James DePiero and his wife Kathy of Jackson, WY, Janet Tognazzi and her husband Jim of Tuftonboro, NH, Lauren Helfman of Las Vegas, and Thomas DePiero and his wife Kathy of Londonderry, NH; her grandchildren: Kelly, Scott, Regene, Derek, Michael, Laura, Jack, Brian, Cameron, Jennifer, Tyler, Jesse, and great-grandson Charlie. She was predeceased by her brothers: James, George and Arthur Parker.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St., Beverly, on Thursday, Feb. 28th, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., North Beverly, will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8PM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
