BEVERLY — Angela Marie (Penta) Holmes, 82, beloved wife of the late Chester K. Holmes Jr., passed away Saturday, July 13, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Viola (Caforio) Penta.
Angela grew up in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School. For several years, Angela was a volunteer at the Beverly Council on Aging and a volunteer at Beverly Hospital. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and bowling in the senior’s league.
She is survived by four children, Cynthia Howland of Peabody, Stephen Cornacchio of Lynn, Alfred Cornacchio and his wife, Linda, of Peabody, John Cornacchio and his wife, Marva, of Hickory, N.C.; two sisters, Bree Meaney and Esther Ward; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; cousins, Angela Pierce and Joseph Penta, both of New Hampshire; along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, George Cornacchio, and her sister, Jean Stull.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Wednesday, at 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
