Milford, NH — Joan E. (Parker) Thomas, 78, daughter of the late Kenneth and Edith (Zdankowski) Parker of Dorchester, Mass., died Saturday, July 13, 2013, following a brief illness at the Home Health & Hospice House in Merrimack, N.H. Born in Needham, Mass., she lived the majority of her life in Beverly, Mass., spending the last 10 years in Milford, N.H.
Joan was the Operations Manager at the Hilltop Butcher Shop in Saugus, Mass., for over 25 years. She enjoyed country music, dance and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her brothers, Robert and Donald Parker; sister, MaryLou (Parker) Coin of Dorchester; daughter and her husband, Debra A. (Woodyard) and Robert Lothrop of Gray, Maine; son and his wife, John R. and Andrea L. (Deinstadt) Thomas of Milford, N.H.; five grandchildren, John H, Thomas, Michael P. Thomas, Matthew Thomas Spirito, Jenifer A. Woodyard, Matthew P. Woodyard; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Gracy and Charlotte.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Thomas Sr.; brother, Richard Parker; sister, Florence Parker; and daughter, Karen L. Thomas.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Memorial service to be held 10 a.m., Friday, July 19, at Immanuel Congregational Church, 140 Bridge Street, Beverly, MA.
