BEVERLY — Barbara (Judd) Midgley, 77, beloved wife of the late Robert D. Midgley, passed away Tuesday, May 20, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Irene (L’heureux) Judd.
Barbara grew up in Danvers, and was a graduate of Holten-Richmond High School, Class of 1954. With acting, dancing and singing being one of Barbara’s greatest passions, she was a member and past president of the North Shore Players. Barbara was also a lover of animals and was always there to help the ones with no homes. She was devoted in her faith and active in church. Barbara was dedicated to her children and grandchildren, and loved her extended family.
She is survived by her four children, Karen Larson of Beverly, Thomas Midgley and his wife, Christine of Danville, N.H., Amy Halvorson and her husband, David of Hudson, N.H., and Robert Midgley and his wife, Rachel of Northborough; eight grandchildren, Brian, Robert and Brett Larson, Lisa and Dale Midgley, Garrett and Devon Halvorson and Samantha Midgley; close family members, Rusty and Pam Lake of Danvers, and Nancy Clough of Georgetown, along with loving extended family.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held at the Church in the Cove, 167 Hale St., Beverly, on Wednesday, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hour will be at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers.
