Peabody — Voula “Peggy” Decoulos, 83, died peacefully Sunday at the Atrium at Danvers, following an extended illness.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Stella (Salpas) Decoulos. She graduated from Peabody High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city.
Ms. Decoulos worked as an executive secretary with General Electric in Lynn for a 50-year career, before retiring in 1998.
Peggy was a member and active with St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody, and was a member of the Daughters of Penelope.
She is survived by a niece and nephew, Nicholas Decoulos and his partner, Ellen Callahan of Peabody, and Stephanie Black and her husband, Richard Black of Acworth, Ga.; four grandnieces and grandnephews, John and Kelly Decoulos of Peabody, Jenna and Justin Bullis of Georgia, Nicole and Michael Dibiase of Peabody, and Frank DeMauro of Georgia; four great-grandnieces &and great-grandnephews; and a sister-in-law, Catherine Decoulos of Peabody. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by brothers, John and Cristy Decoulos.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday, June 25, at 9 a.m., from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funearl Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a funeral service, at 10 a.m., in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 5:30 to 7 :30 p.m., in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
