BEVERLY — Marie R. (Boniface) Hutchinson, 98, wife of the late Harry E. Hutchinson, died at home on Monday evening surrounded by her family. She was employed at Friendly’s Restaurants for 35-plus years, starting at their Beverly location in 1962, and ending in their Danvers location while in her 80s. She was affectionately known as “Nana” to family and friends of all ages. Her Wednesday night family dinners and homemade ravioli at Christmas will be missed.
Born in Beverly, daughter of the late Nicholas and Angelina (Bertolami) Boniface, she was a lifelong Beverly resident.
Nana is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie E. Murphy and her husband, Martin, of Danvers; nine grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Kevin, Brendan, and Beth Murphy, and Shannon (Murphy) Silvestri, Kristen (Hutchinson) Moloney, Shaun Hutchinson, and Suzanne (Hutchinson) Kosch. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, Jessica Ewing, Carmelo, Alberto and Mari Roberts-Murphy, Erin, Kate and Hannah Silvestri, Jordan, Dylan, and Ethan Murphy, Nicholas and Connor Murphy, Erin and Quinn Moloney, Benjamin, Caroline, and Eric Hutchinson, and Samuel and Charles Kosch; as well as one great-great-grandchild, Aiden Tirrell. She also leaves behind Linda Blount, who Nana loved as her own granddaughter. She was also the mother of the late Harry Hutchinson and the late John N. Hutchinson.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Saturday, July 5, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
