Katherine E. “Kitty” (Doughty) Burke, age 61, of Lynn, died on Tuesday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family at her side after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabelle (Friedline) Doughty. She was raised in Peabody and attended Peabody schools. She lived in Lynn for many years. Kitty enjoyed trips to the casino, and loved going to yard sales. She was an animal lover as well and found great joy in adopting animals.
Kitty is survived by her loving partner of 16 years, Karen Ralphs of Lynn; her daughter, Lori (Burke) Coleman and her husband Michael of Peabody; 2 grandchildren, Kylee Foglietta and McKenna Coleman, both of Peabody; her sister Diane Shah and her husband Gregory of Reading; her brother Gene Doughty and his wife JoAnn of Peabody; her nieces and nephews; Gregory Shah and his wife Lisa, Patricia Viveiros and her husband Mark, Jennifer Sannizzaro and her husband Dean, William Doughty and his wife Leah, and James Doughty; her aunt Dorothy Carey of Peabody, as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10AM in the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Friday from 4-8PM. Burial will be private.
