Peabody — Dr. Mitchell M. Kuhn, 86, of Peabody died after a brief illness on Wednesday, September 5, at Salem Hospital surrounded by his family.
Dr. Kuhn was raised in Boston and Winthrop, and was a graduate of Winthrop High School and Massachusetts College of Optometry. He began his career as a teacher for 16 years at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He then began private practice in Boston and Peabody.
A 52-year resident of Peabody, he was a long time member of Temple Ner Tamid and Ocean Lodge of Masons. He was the devoted husband of Barbara (Trager) Kuhn; beloved father of Eric Kuhn, David and his wife Marianne Kuhn, the late Allison Kuhn and dear brother of the late Florence Kuhn.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services at Temple Ner Tamid, 368 Lowell St., Peabody, on Thursday, September 6, at 1 p.m. Interment in Sharon.
