Peabody — Frank Louis Acinapura of Peabody, Mass., formerly of Paramus and Union City, N.J., entered into peace on Mau 4, 2013. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Betty Hahn Acinpaura, and once again is dancing with her.
He was most proud of his family and is survived by his son, Paul, his wife, Rosalie, and grandson, Micah Acinapura of New York City; his grandson, Gabriel Acinapura and his wife, Liz, of Chicago; and his daughter, Beth and her partner, Maria Juliano, of Middleton, Mass.
He was born in Union City, N.J., on March 12, 1919. He was one of nine children of John and Margaret Acinapura. He is also survived by his brother, John and his wife, Marilyn of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Moira Acinapura of DelRay Beach, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Colleen, Rose, Nettie, Isabel; and brothers, Joey, Dick and Paul.
He proudly served his country in WWII with General Patton’s 3rd Army in the 119th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion. He turned that service into a distinguished career with the United Nations in New York City. He was one of the original hires in 1946 and was proud to be a member of the Mohican Club of the United Nations.
