William E. "Bill" Garrett, 70


Beverly — William E. “Bill” Garrett, 70, died Wednesday, May 15 at Blueberry Hill Nursing Home. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late George and Barbara (Morant) Lind. He resided in Beverly most of his life and attended local schools. Bill was employed at General Electric in Lynn as an inspector for 39 years. Bill served in the United States Coast Guard and was stationed at Hampton Beach and Plum Island.

He is survived by his friend of 50 years, Bruce Innis of Beverly; and friends, Bill Petrosino of Beverly, and Bruce Bedard of Danvers.

ARRANGEMENTS: A graveside service will be held on May 20 at North Beverly Cemetery at 1 p.m. All are invited to attend. Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA, 01701.
