Arlene (Stanton) Scarfino, 92


Peabody — Arlene (Stanton) Scarfino, 92, wife of the late Rocco Scarfino, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home, following a long illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva (Baker) Stanton. She lived throughout the North Shore area all her life, and lived in Peabody for the last 32 years.

Mrs. Scarfino worked as an assembler for GTE Sylvania of Danvers for 25 years before retiring 33 years ago.

Arlene enjoyed knitting, was an avid baseball fan and followed the Boston Red Sox with a strong passion.

She is survived by four grandchildren, William Novick & his wife Kathleen Brophy-Novick of Merrimac, MA, Michael & his wife Toni Novick, Lauren Novick & her husband Jim Rynkowski of Peabody, and James & his wife Christine Novick of Hudson, NH, and also by five-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents and husband, by a daughter Linda (Pyburn) Novick and sister Genevieve Farley.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral ceremony in honor of her life was held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Urn burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
