Stephen A. Chapman, 66


BEVERLY — Stephen A. Chapman, 66, beloved husband of Julia (Forward) Chapman, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage, passed away Monday, February 25, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Beverly, he is the son of the late Robert E. and Lois (Hall) Chapman.

Stephen grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1966. Stephen was a United States Army Veteran, having served in South Korea during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Harmonic Drive in Peabody where he retired in 2009 at the age of 62. Stephen also worked at the United Shoe Machinery Corp in Beverly along with various other places. Stephen belonged to the VFW and was a past member of the Elks. He was a lover of Beverly High School football, the Patriots and the Red Sox.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter Karen Chapman and Mike Bedard of Danvers; four brothers: Robert Chapman and his wife Barbara of Florida, Thomas Chapman and his wife Gale of New Hampshire, Jeffrey Chapman of Beverly Farms and Mark Chapman and his wife Ingrid of New Hampshire; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Frank Chapman.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Service will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location), on Thursday at Noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
