A WWII veteran, Macy proudly served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corps. in the Pacific Theater of Operations as a control tower operator. After returning to civilian life in Massachusetts, Macy owned and operated Macy’s Radio and Appliance Service until he retired in 1981. His true passion was ballroom dancing. Even in his early nineties, he would go to two or three dances in a single day. He especially loved helping younger people learn how to do classic ballroom dance steps.
