Peabody — Joyce L. Rebidue, 74, of Peabody, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, October 23, at Kaplan House after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Russell P. Rebidue, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.
Born and bred in the Brickyard Area of West Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Nolan E. Dow, Sr. and Marjorie (Lennon) Dow-McCormack. She resided in Peabody for several years, after residing in Lynnfield, for over 25 years.
Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends and she was a jigsaw puzzle professional. She especially enjoyed fun times with her many friends at the Pace Program on Market Street in Lynn and Peabody House in Peabody.
Joyce leaves her children: Richard and his wife Kathy of Lynn, Raymond and his wife Patti of Lynn, Marjorie Miller and her husband Earl of Beverly, Gregory and his wife Rebecca of Beverly, Penny and Peter King of Peabody, Michael and his wife Cindy of Billerica, James and his life partner John Kelly of Peabody, Christopher of Beverly, Wendy Fortado and her husband Sam of Peabody, David of Merrimack, N.H., and Lorraine “Buffy” Rebidue and Marijke Callahan of North Andover. She also leaves one sister, Jean Russell of Nashua, N.H.; two brothers, Joseph “Pete” Dow of Rochester, N.H., and Paul McCormack and his wife Carla of Nahant, 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Russell L. Rebidue, and was the sister of the late Ernie, Richard, John, James, Charles, Robert, and Raymond Dow, Marjorie LaRiviere, Gloria Ringdahl, Delores Beaton, and Clair Nelson. She was the mother-in-law of the late Karlene (Nichols) Rebidue and Michelle (Vozzella) Rebidue. She was the great-grandmother of Rodney Lemon III.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 8 South Common St., Lynn, on Saturday, October 27, at 10 a.m., followed by a private burial service. By her request, there will be no visiting hours.
