BEVERLY — Kim (Haberern) Stone, 58, beloved wife of Richard H. Stone, with whom she shared 21 years of marriage, passed away on Sunday, September 29, surrounded by her family, after a nine-month struggle with brain cancer. Born in Northampton, Pa., she was the daughter of Roberta (Scheffler) Haberern of Whitehall, Pa., and the late William Haberern.
Kim grew up in Pennsylvania, and was a graduate of Whitehall High School. She then received her bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University. Kim was an award-winning corporate video producer, and co-owner of a video production company with her husband, Richard. Kim was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir, participated on mission trips to impoverished areas, and volunteered her time with many community activities. Kim was a cheerful, friendly woman, who had an enormous creative energy and was dedicated to helping others. She was a loving and devoted mother, and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, Zachary Stone of Beverly; two brothers, Keith Haberern and his wife, Karen, of Collingswood, N.J., and Kent Haberern and his wife, Lisa, of Bird-in-Hand, Pa.; and many extended family members and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Wednesday, October 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 221 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Saturday, October 12, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
