Barbara (Palleschi) Gayton, 77


Middleton — Mrs. Barbara (Palleschi) Gayton, 77, of Middleton, beloved wife of Francis “Frank” Gayton, died Monday evening unexpectedly at Beverly Hospital.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nelly (Tamero) Palleschi. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1955.

A loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Barbara began her professional career with the New England Telephone Company and more recently she had been employed with the Town of Middleton School Department at the Howe-Manning School. Yet her devotion and dedication was always to her family which she raised lovingly and diligently.

A resident of the Town of Middleton for over 45 years, Mrs. Gayton enjoyed arts and crafts. Family was paramount in her life and she took great pride in providing a caring and warm home for her beloved husband, children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her loving husband of 54 years, Barbara is survived by her sons, Francis D. Gayton of Ipswich and Glen A. Gayton and his wife, Rebecca, of Ipswich; her grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew and John Gayton; her brother, James Palleschi and his wife, Judy, of Hampton, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral services are private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Route 62), Danvers.
