Armand J. DeSantis, 74


Peabody — Mr. Armand J. DeSantis, age 74, of Peabody, died unexpectedly, on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, after being stricken ill at his home.

Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Armand and Phyllis (Capobianco) DeSantis. He had lived in Danvers for 20 years before moving to Peabody in 2002.

Armand worked as the Director of Quality Control at Polaroid in Waltham and he retired in 2001 after 45 years of service with the company.

Armand enjoyed photography.

He is survived by a son, Derek DeSantis of Lynn; two grandchildren, Leah and Derek DeSantis; a sister, Theresa Coppola and her husband, Patrick, of Lynn; a nephew, Patrick Coppola of Lynn; and a cousin, Marilyn Capobianco, of Peabody. He was also the father of the late Stephen DeSantis and the brother of the late Philip DeSantis.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Solimine Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Fund, 177 Lynnfield St., Lynn, MA 01904.
