Michael John Campbell, 54, son of Catherine (Carr) Clark of Danvers and the late Robert W. Campbell, died on Tuesday, February 7 in Biddeford. Michael was a native of Beverly, Massachusetts and a graduate of Beverly High School. After graduation, he went on to become an accomplished chef, including working on an Alaskan cruise ship and in many well-known hotel restaurants throughout the country. One of his favorite jobs included his tenure as the head chef at a well known resort in Wyoming. Returning to New England ten years ago, Michael settled in Coastal Maine where he most recently enjoyed being an antiques dealer and distributor. Michael was a man who lived “out loud with a big heart.”
Besides his mother, Michael is survived by a daughter, Catlyn Campbell of Wolfeboro, NH, four brothers, Robert Campbell, Jr. of Graton, CA, David Clark of Ipswich, Frank Clark of San Francisco, CA, Wayne Clark of Beverly, three sisters, Virginia “Ginger” (Campbell) Waksmonski of Danvers, Susan Campbell-Langmaid of Ipswich and Nancy (Clark) Jewell of Beverly.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street (North Beverly location) on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service after the visiting hours.
