Ronald E. Goodwin, 83

DENVER, COLO. — The children of Ronald Goodwin are saddened to share with you that their dad was called home on Feb 7, 2013.

He was the husband of the late June Goodwin, and had currently resided in Colorado. He was born in Beverly, and had previously lived in Salem, Peabody, and Lowell before his life’s decisions took him to the Denver area. At a young age, Ron started his career as a television repairman, he was known as “the TV guy”. He loved spending time in his workshop repairing TV’s and radios, as well as, tinkering with other electronics.

He is survived by his three daughters, Ellen Mendonca and Diane Goodwin of Peabody and Sheila Isbell of Maine; and a son, Michael Goodwin of Peabody. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Lisa DeLuccia, John Mendonca, Christopher Goodwin, Mallory Goodwin, Samantha Gilman, Nicole Isbell; and three great-grandchildren, John Paul DeLuccia, Lillyanna DeLuccia, and Allyson Gilman. He also leaves his brothers, Russell, David, and Peter Goodwin; and sisters, Carol Knowlton, Janice Utter, and Connie Clay; he also leaves his uncle, Bob Goodwin who he shared a close relationship with. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew and loved him. Dad lives in our hearts forever; we take comfort knowing he now rests with his parents, Halstead and Alice Goodwin and with his siblings who preceded him in death, Judith Clay, Rhoda Gould, and Roger Goodwin.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
