Stephen M. Donovan, 66


Rotonda W. FL & Middleton, MA — Stephen M. Donovan, formerly of Groveland, Oceanview, and Rotonda West, passed away at home on March 4, 2014. Born in Lynn, MA, he attended school at Masconomet and Saugus High, before enlisting in the Army. He became a dog trainer in the service quickly attaining Sergeant and served for 2 years on Okinawa. Upon return he married his lifelong sweetheart and started a family. Steve found work and many friends in the phone company before living his dream by moving to Hawaii. Those years gave him innumerable happy memories to savor. Steve also worked at Uncle Henry's Marina where he met and loved patrons too numerous to list. In his free time he enjoyed working in the yard, fast cars, great music, and the company of close friends and family. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 43 years, Libby; his son, Stephen Donovan of Anchor Point, AK; his daughter, Stacey Donovan of Nantucket and her husband, Leo Maurer; two grandchildren, Seamus Donovan and Nathan Maurer; his mother, Helen Donovan as well as numerous other family and friends that have enriched his life. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Donovan.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visitation on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Mackey Funeral Home, 22 Conant St., Danvers MA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
