Michael D. Kennedy, 88


WENHAM — Michael D. Kennedy, 88, beloved husband of the late Ruth (West) Kennedy, passed away on Saturday, March 8, at the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers. Born on April 10, 1925, in Boston, he was the son of the late Michael B. and Agnes (Scannell) Kennedy.

Michael was a longtime resident of Wenham. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he was the recipient of numerous decorations and citations, including two Bronze Service Stars.

His is survived by two daughters, Barbara Beaulieu and Carol Fucci and their families. He is predeceased by his brothers, Richard N. Kennedy and Donald P. Kennedy.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, on Friday, March 14, at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in Wenham Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Wednesday, March 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Michael’s memory to the North East Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
