Peabody — Mrs. Eleanor L. “Elle” (Arsenault) Drolet, age 94, of Peabody, died Friday in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur A. Drolet Sr.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert J. and Nellie (Nyberg) Arsenault. She attended Swampscott Schools and was a graduate of Swampscott High School Class of 1939. She was a resident of Peabody for over 50 years.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a cashier at Brighams for over 20 years. She was a former ice skater and roller skater and also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was also an avid bingo player.
She leaves her children, Paul Drolet and his wife, Wendy of Peabody, Ronald Drolet and his wife, Frances of Calera, Ala., Arthur Drolet Jr. and his late wife, Sharon of Eagle Lake, Maine, David Drolet of Peabody and Robert Drolet and his wife, Mercy of San Diego, Calif. She was the sister to Eugene Arsenault of Dover, N.H., and the late Virginia Smallwood. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Elle’s Funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn ,on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
