Beverly, MA — Jean E. (Connors) Massero, age 81 years, of Beverly, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at her home. She was the wife of the late George H. “Teddy” Massero, and the daughter of the late James E. and Elizabeth (Ringer) Connors. Born and raised in Lynn, she was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1950. She lived in Lynn for many years before moving to Silver Springs, Maryland. Later in 1968, she moved to Beverly. She spent many years living on her boat in Danversport with her husband, and then settled in Beverly in later years. She was an avid reader and was fond of the summertime when she and her husband enjoyed traveling on their boat and spending weekends out at Misery Island.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Carr of Beverly; her sons, T.D.”Terry” Carter of Beverly and Commander Christopher J. Carter, U.S. Navy of U.S. Navy Base, Kitsap and his wife, Norma, of Washington; as well as seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a sister, Patricia Mogavero of Peabody and her former daughter-in-law, Donna. She was the sister of the late Ann Marie Holden.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, (Route 129), Lynn, on Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
