Ann Christine (Burke) Coigley, 71


Peabody — Mrs. Ann Christine (Burke) Coigley, 71, of Peabody, formerly of Malden, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Aviv Center in Peabody, surrounded by her family.

Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Emily (Carberry) Burke. She was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School.

A dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ann was devoted to her family and did all within her power to make a happy and loving childhood for her children. When they had left the nest her love for children still abounded and she shared that by working as an infant teacher with the Over the Rainbow Day Care in North Reading for over ten years until the time of her retirement.

Ann was very much loved by her family and friends because of her loving and nurturing nature. She loved to laugh, sing and dance. She will be deeply missed by all who have known her.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Katherine Mochi and her husband, Gregory, of Middleton and Elizabeth Coigley of Peabody; her sons, John Coigley and his wife, Jean, of Alton, N.H., Peter Coigley and his wife, Judith Weeman, of Georgetown and Joseph Coigley of Somerville; her ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Maffeo.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Route 62), Danvers, Monday, March 17, at 10 a.m., followed by her funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church, Boston St., Middleton, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
