Beverly, MA — Simone G. Shepard, 87, of Beverly, died peacefully at the Kaplan Hospice Home in Danvers, on March 31, 2014. She was the loving wife of the late Harold Shepard, with whom she shared 20 years of marriage.
Born in Manchester, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Aurele and Alice (Roy) Laverdiere.
She attended Beverly schools and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1945. She loved cooking for her family, playing cards, and completing the "jumble" in the daily news.
"Sim" will be sadly missed by her children, Dawn Noyes Clay of Newburyport, and Joseph Shepard and his partner, Christine Santoro of Beverly; grandchildren, James, David, Megan, and Maise; her sisters, Theresa Strout and Joanne Foss; stepchildren, Tom, Steve and Jackie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who loved their auntie "Seemone." She was predeceased by her siblings, Rolande, Irene, Bernadette, Gerard, Maurice, and Raymond; and her stepson, Paul.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial Mass for Simone will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Annunciation Church, Conant Street, Danvers, on Thursday, April 3, at 9 a.m.
