Salem — Patricia Joan Seward, 72, formerly of Cambridge and Nantucket, passed away on Thursday March 27, in Fairhaven, Mass., after a brief illness.
She is survived by her brother, Jackie Seward; beloved children, Stephen Seward of Nantucket, Thomas Cunningham of Cambridge, Stephanie Cunningham of San Francisco, Kathryn Haigh of Portland, Maine, Fletcher Haigh of Nantucket, Patricia Haigh of Plymouth; and 11 grandchildren.
Born in Salem to the late Alice Bentley Seward and Joseph Seward, Pat was a familiar figure in Cambridge and Boston for many years, having regularly volunteered in programs for the homeless. In her earlier years, she was an art model and remained a passionate follower of the fine arts throughout her life.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 5, at 11 a.m., at Saint Mary of the Annunciation, 134 Norfolk St., Cambridge. A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date on Nantucket.
