Salem — Theresa (Rizzotti) Madison, age 88, died Friday morning, August 16, 2013, at Salem Hospital following a long illness. Theresa was a lifelong resident of Salem. She was a graduate of Salem High School and worked for many years for Eastern Bank.
Theresa is survived by her loving sister, Josephine Rizzotti; a brother, Frank Rizzotti and her son, Michael Madison and his wife, Laurie, all of Salem. She also leaves behind a grandson, Michael Madison of Dallas, Texas and five granddaughters, Theresa Monteiro of Dover, N.H., Sarah McGee of South Riding, Va., Maura Tarazi of Quincy, Angela Madison of Arlington, Va., and Abigail Wells of Scarsdale, N.Y. Theresa is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, Luke, Jack, Charlie, Caleb, Claire, Amelia, Raphaela, Thomas and Lucy, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Stephen Rizzotti, Pauline Negri, Lawrence, John and Grace Rizzotti, Mary Sowinski, and Frances and Kathrine Rizzotti.
ARRANGEMENTS: Mrs. Madison’s funeral will be held from the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (corner of North St.), Salem on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Hawthorn Blvd., Salem at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
