Ruth Arlene (Coffill) Dubiel, 79


Saugus — Mrs. Ruth Arline (Coffill) Dubiel, 79, of Saugus, beloved wife of the late Robert J. Dubiel, died on September 13, 2013, following complications from surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Born in Gloucester, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Eleanor (Parsons) Coffill. She was raised and educated in Gloucester, and was a longtime resident of Gloucester.

Mrs. Dubiel had been employed as a custodian for the telephone company for many years, until her retirement.

Ruth was a dedicated mother, grandmother and sister, who will be deeply missed.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Julie Ann Dunn Vasquez of Lynn, and Bonnie Lee Lavoie of Melrose; her four grandchildren; her sister, Gail Hanscom of Florida; her brother, James Coffill of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Dana L. Lavoie, and sister of the late Donald Coffill, Louise McLeod, Fay Bacario and Dorothy Vient.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in The O’Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., at Salem Common, Salem, on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
