Georgia was a talented artist who won several awards and worked mostly in oils. She was on the Board of Directors of the Swampscott Arts Association and had displayed her artwork at many locations, including the Swampscott and Salem public libraries.
Georgia is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Katsoulas) and her husband, Speros Zakas, of Salem, and Paula (Pomakis) and her husband, Pasquale Marinaro, of Pittsfield; her siblings, Daniel Genis of Marblehead and Catherine Scoulogenis of Salem; four grandchildren, Nicholas Zakas of Mountain View, CA; Dr. Gregory Zakas of Scottsdale, AZ; Jacob Brundige and his wife, Dawn, of Salem, and Leah Brundige of Goyang, South Korea.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3 until 7 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
