West Newbury, MA — Mr. Edward L. Beaucher, 88 years, of West Newbury died on Friday, October 25, 2013, in Merrimack Valley Hospice, Haverhill, after a long illness. He was born in Medford, the son of the late John and Anna Beaucher. He was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. Mr. Beaucher lived in Stoneham where he raised his family and in West Newbury for the past 30 years.
Mr. Beaucher was a WWII Navy Veteran and served in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. He also attended college while in the Navy as part of his pilot training. He was a member of the Melrose Lions Club and a member of the American Ceramics Society. Mr. Beaucher was a private pilot. He enjoyed photography, fishing and was an avid woodworker. Mr. Beaucher was the owner and founder of Micro-Mech of Ipswich, a local machine and manufacturing company.
He is survived by two sons, John Beaucher and his wife, Kathleen of Boxford, Richard Beaucher and his wife, Lois of West Palm, Fla.; two daughters, Denise Beaucher and Andrea Fifield, both of Pittsfield, N.H. He leaves 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is the brother of Bill Beaucher of Vero Beach, Fla., Lil Duncan of Wakefield, and the late George, Bob, Jackie and Richard Beaucher. He also leaves his former wife, Barbara Little of Florida; his dear friend, Delia Corcoran of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Relatives and respectfully invited.
