Marblehead — Emil M. Ronchi, CFA, CFP, age 48, husband of Robin (Adair) of Marblehead, died of cancer at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers. Emil approached his journey through illness with his usual mix of intellect, humor, and courage.
Born in Zurich, Switzerland, the son of Franco and Lisette (Venier) Ronchi, he was raised in Queens, N.Y. Mr. Ronchi received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Rochester Poly Technical Institute and his MBA from the University of Rochester.
He moved to Marblehead in 2000 and established his business, Point Capital Advisory in Salem from where he had provided financial services to many clients across New England.
A dedicated husband and father, he had been active on local school boards and advisory boards. His greatest enjoyment came from being at home, where he loved gardening, cooking and lively and passionate conversation with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ronchi is survived by his two children, Maria and Emilia Ronchi of Marblehead; his brother, Peter; his nephew, Steven Ronchi and his niece, Lisett Ronchi.
ARRANGEMENTS: Mr. Ronchi's funeral service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead, 28 Mugford St., on Saturday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St., (corner of North St.), on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be private. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in support of orphan cancer research.
