Marblehead — Trula V. (Dexter) Ganey, 101, of Marblehead, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on August 15, 2013. She was the wife of the late Andrew F. Ganey. Born in Tacoma, Wash., she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Anna (Davis) Dexter.
Trula was a loving and generous person who helped care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her great-nieces and nephews. She enjoyed skiing with family and friends, traveling to the Alps and frequenting Attitash Mtn. in New Hampshire. Trula loved to read, attend yoga class and join her friends for coffee. She embraced life with great spirit and will be greatly missed by all those who loved her so very much.
Mrs. Ganey is survived by her grandsons, Kimball Tarr and his wife, Audrey, of Merrimac, and Eric Tarr of Wenham; a niece, Thelma McHugh and her husband, Benjamin, of Marblehead; two great-grandsons, Duncan and Collin Tarr; three great-nieces and nephews; as well as several great-great-nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Janice N. Ganey; and the sister of the late Thelma Smith.
