Danvers — Ronald B. James, 82, of Danvers, died on Monday, August 26, 2013, at the North Shore Kindred Hospital in Peabody.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn., he was the son of the late Alys D. (Follette) and Arthur B. James MD. Ronald was raised and educated in Bridgeport, and was a graduate of Fairfield College Prep School of Connecticut, Dalhousie University, Pre-Med, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Sir George Williams University, Montreal, Canada, where he received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for General Electric in Lynn as an engineer for over 20 years, before retiring in 1995.
Ronald was a avid reader, and an accomplished equestrian, who also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and using his remote-controlled airplanes and helicopters. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Muriel F. (Dyall) James, and his son, Ronald James Jr. Ronald is survived by his two sons, Robert F. James of Beverly, and Kevin G. James Esq. and his wife, Suzanne, of Danvers; his sister, Carol Marbury of Strafford, Conn.; four grandchildren, Mason, Payton, Autumn, and Sienna; and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Friday, August 30, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
