Thomas G. Tagg Jr., 82

SEABROOK, NH — Thomas “George” Tagg, Jr., 82, of Seabrook, N.H., passed away early Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Elizabeth W. (Holland) Tagg of Seabrook, N.H.

Thomas was born in Beverly on May 4, 1931, to his parents, Thomas Sr. and Nora (Freer) Tagg.

During his working life he was the owner and operator

of T.G. Tagg Construction, doing heavy equipment operation and construction, retiring in April 2012. He also

worked at the Miles River Sand and Gravel, as well as plowing for the state for 50 years. His interest in old and antique vehicles led him to work in Arundel, Maine at the Biddeford Station, part of the Seashore Trolley Museum.

He was a member of the Merrimack Valley Military Collector's Club. He bought and restored military vehicles and collected mac and model trucks. His vehicle interest also took him to model railroads where this led to his building his own big model railroad.

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by his brother, A.J. Tagg of Hampton Falls, N.H., and a sister, E. Diana and her husband, Ralph Titus, of Rowley, Mass.; 3 daughters, Debra and her husband, Steve Kirlis, of Salisbury, Mass., Elizabeth and her husband, Fred Krause, of Franklin, Mass., and Heidi Garafolo of Georgetown; 3 step-children, Barbara Moon of Amesbury, Matthew Rosato of Amesbury and Jon and his wife, Lisa Rosato, of Seabrook, N.H. He also leaves 11 grandchildren, Michael Moon and fiancee, Sarah Spanger, Mandi and her husband, Salo Noguera-Vega, Adrian Rosato, Gina and Edward Rosato, Brian and Amy Krause, Matthew Kirlis and fiancee, Amanda Bartlett, Erin and Kimberly Kirlis, and Isabella Garafolo and 3 great-grandchildren, Nathan and Joshua Noguera-Vega and Gabriel Moon.

ARRANGEMENTS: A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Haverhill Road, Topsfield, Mass., for family and friends. Visiting hours will be Friday, September 13, 2013, 5-8 p.m. in the F. S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent St., Rowley, Mass.
