Salem — Mrs. Theodora “Teddy”(Serafini) Currier, 88 of Salem, beloved wife of the late James S. Currier, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at the Blueberry Hill Nursing Center in Beverly.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Enrico and Galdina (Gentili) Serafini. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1941. She continued her education at the Hawthorne Institute graduating as a member of the Class of 1944.
Theodora had been employed with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in the Registry of Deeds Division for Essex County until her retirement in 1985. A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, Theodora was a longtime communicant of St. James Church in Salem and was an auxiliary member of the Vittori Rocci Post in Beverly, and a member of the Retired State County and Municipal Employees Association. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be truly missed.
Theodora is survived by her daughter Sharon E. Drown and her husband Jeffrey Ferreira of Ipswich, her son, David J. Currier of Peabody, her brother John R. Serafini Esq. of Prides Crossing and her three grandchildren Keith Currier of Peabody, Meghan Balch of Buxton, ME., and Erik Drown of Salem and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from The O’Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq. (at Salem Common), Salem, on Wednesday at 9:15 AM., followed by her Funeral Mass in St. James Church, Federal St., Salem, at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited.
