William Warren Kimball, 85


TOPSFIELD — Mr. William Warren Kimball, 85, of Topsfield, beloved husband of Janet Priscilla (Macdonald) Kimball, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington.

Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Alfred M. and Bessie H. (Shirley) Kimball, he was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of the former Holten High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Kimball served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy. William had been employed as a meat cutter for the former First National Stores for many years prior to his retirement in 1990. A resident of the Town of Topsfield since 1964 , he was a long-time member of the Congregational Church of Topsfield.

In addition to his loving wife of 64 years, William is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Ann Griffen and her husband, James C.; and his two grandchildren, Samantha and William C. Griffen. He was also the brother of the late Francis S. and Melvin E. Kimball.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service which will be held in the Congregational Church of Topsfield, East Common St., Topsfield, on Friday, December 7, at 11 a.m. Burial is private. As requested, visiting hours omitted. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers.
