Mr. Francis "Frank" C Mazeika, 89 of Oviedo, Fla., formerly of Salem, died Jan. 28, 2012.
Frank was born Feb. 6, 1922 in McKeesport, Pa.
An honorably discharged veteran, Frank served his country as a member of the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Prairie during WW II.
Mr. Mazeika had been employed for many years with the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Company, the Bond Leather Company and Salem High School before his retirement in 1986. For over thirty years he donated his time coaching in the Salem Little League. He was a longtime resident of the City of Salem, before moving to Oviedo to enjoy his retirement. During his retirement years, Frank enjoyed fishing and working part time at the Orlando Auto Auction.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Shirley (Putnam) Mazeika, his two sons, Peter Mazeika and his wife Shirley of Oviedo, Chester Mazeika and his wife Joyce of New Hampshire, and he was pre-deceased by his son Michael Mazeika. He is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
