Leonard H. Scott Jr., 50


BEVERLY — Leonard “Lenny” H. Scott, Jr., 50, passed away Saturday, December 29th, at Beverly Hospital. Born in Beverly, he is the loving son of Theresa “Cookie” Scott of Beverly and the late Leonard H. Scott Sr.

Lenny grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School. He worked as a taxi cab driver for the City of Beverly. Lenny enjoyed playing darts and pitching the “knuckle ball” in his softball games. He was known for his helping hand and sense of humor. Lenny was a kind, caring man and was known by everyone. He lived for his children, grandchildren, his family and friends. Lenny will truly be missed.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters: Jennifer Roberts and her husband Matthew of Ipswich, Sarah Scott of Beverly, and Kaitlin Scott of Riverview, FL; two sisters: Cheryl Scott of Beverly, and Laura Glidden and husband Donnie of Salem; four grandchildren: Alannah, Savannah, Nicholas, and Laurali; six nieces and nephews: Shannon, Joey, Madison, Amanda, Breanna, and Donnie; three great-nephews: Julian, Joshua, and Jayden; and his beloved friend, Frances Staples of Beverly.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be celebrated at Saint Peter the Episcopal Church, 4 Ocean Street, Beverly, on Friday, at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location) on Thursday, from 4 to 7 P.M. There will be no burial. Immediately following the funeral service, everyone is welcome to join the family at the American Legion, Herman A. Spear Post, 3 Judson Street, Beverly.
